Socks Saturday: The definition of insanity.

In all of my sock-knitting endeavors, I've succeeded in knitting one pair of socks for myself, and two pairs of socks for Bandit. I've also started in on socks for Pickle and Amy multiple times, and frogged every single attempt.

If the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, then what does this say about me?

(Pattern is Slide, by Cookie A. It doesn't look like much now, but give me another few inches and it will look awesome.)

  1. I like the way that yarn is knitting up. I am completely awed by the way you're knitting that on so many needles. Whoa.

    1. It's really only 4 DPNs - they look like they're all over the place because I was just about to finish a needle when I took the picture.

  2. Hmmm perhaps you are a perfectionist, which is not a bad thing. It just means you take a little extra time but your projects always turn out perfect. Besides, you are getting more milage out of the yarn that way!

    1. Perfectionist... that's a very kind, and completely inaccurate term to use! My previous attempts got frogged due to gauge/sizing/yardage issues that a little bit of swatching probably could have prevented. But I'm stubborn and don't swatch properly, so yes, I do end up enjoying knitting the same yarn again and again.

  3. Love your yarn bowl and the your colorway choice! As for insanity, a little bit can't hurt. :) Keeps life interesting!
